Boricua Tour arrives to Yucatan!

Yucatan has a lot to offer in terms of student travel as it is an ideal destination for volunteer activities, geological, biological, archaeological exploration, and agriculture while boasts magnificent scenery for the promotion of youth orchestras and choirs.

Thus we have the great pleasure to present the “Boricua Tour” Band Orchestra of the University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. Its repertoire includes classical music, Puerto Rican music and popular music, among others. He has participated in the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York three times and this is his first participation in a Latin American country.

The University of Puerto Rico in Ponce will have a tour of four concerts in Yucatan in late May this year. Admission is free and open to the public.

Presentations: Friday May 29th, 2015 – 17:30 hrs. – Tahmek, Yucatan – Joint presentation with the Youth Orchestra of Tahmek. Saturday May 30th, 2015 – 12:00 hrs. – Passage of the Revolution, Merida, Yucatan – Flash Mob in conjunction with the Youth Orchestra of Mérida. Saturday May 30th, 2015 – 20:00 hrs. – Remate of Paseo Montejo, Merida, Yucatan – Concert in the framework of the Mexican Night. Sunday May 31th, 2015 – 20:00 hrs. – Foundation Alborada AC (149 St. # 322 x 64 and 70 Col. San José Tecoh II) – Concert Monday June 1st, 2015 – 09:30 hrs. – South University (C. 26 # 20 x Av Colon and Garcia Col. 23 Gineres.)
