Incredibly delicious vegan restaurants to eat amazing food in the Yucatán Peninsula

We know that sometimes it’s hard not being able to enter any store and buy whatever you like at first glance, at least I do. That’s why I am writing this food post dedicated with love to all the other foodies out there! Those who are mad about eating, no matter which way.

Playa del Carmen, Quinta Roo

Clorofila; Located on 30th Avenue and the corner of 20th Street.

Fresh and tasty new place, with an incredible location and lots and lots of creative options for you to try and enjoy. From breakfasts to yummy coconuty smoothies, casual super early dinners, if thinking the Mexican way, and special desserts. You’ll love every part of it! Including its natural and laid back ambiance.

Opens: Mondays to Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 06:00 PM

The Pitted Date; Located on 26th Street between 5th Avenue.

Little and rustic vegan bakery and café, owes its delightful and gooey name to the fact that a lot of dates are used in the making of the lovely sugary creations. Here you can have a happy birthday the right way, or a happy any day the right wayas a matter of fact. If you have a sweet tooth or would just like to try a different kind of dessert, don’t forget to visit this place and lure yourself with a mini or large treat, go ahead, you are a good person, you deserve it.

Opens: Tuesdays to Sundays, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM

La Senda Vegana; Located on 10th Ave / 10th & 10th BIZ, Downtown.

This restaurant is truly delicious, the waiters are really kind and fun and the food tastes amazing! Also it has so many options to choose from: Sushi, Mexican style dishes, breakfasts, an extended array of smoothie kinds and desserts that are to die for and come back alive for some more. The place has a rustic vibe, filled with beautiful fruits as decoration, don’t miss it!

Opens: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM

Cancún, Quintana Roo

Vegan Planet; Located on Ave Andres Quintana Roo MZ 1.

Vegan meals at reach! This place works as a store as well where you can buy different kinds of products that help you compliment your health, like super foods; sometimes they also impart courses that teach you how to prepare distinct and delicious vegan meals. This place is great because the menu has many many different picks for you to choose from, not leaving any taste buds behind!

Opens: Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Caribe Mexicano; Located on Ave. 127 No. 6, Fraccionamiento Adalucía.

Actually I haven’t been in this place, but I have wander around and about on their Facebook page many times now, and the opinions of people that have eating there makes me want to hop into my car right now and drive a few hours just in time for a very very late dinner, impossible because they close at 10:00 PM but its a thought, well maybe if I drive really really fast. For the moment I’ll have to settle with just writing its name into my Must-go-restaurants-right-away list. For now.

Opens: Monday to Saturday, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Mérida, Yucatán

Lo que hay Café; Located on 55 Street No. 533 between 64 and 66 Downtown Merida, inside the Medio Mundo Hotel.

This small, beautiful, outdoorsy restaurant is located inside the Medio Mundo Hotel in the Historic Center of the city of Mérida. It is excellent if you want to have a lovely maybe even romantic and tranquil delicious dinner. They make every night special by offering a distinct three course dinner menu each time, inspired by numerous world cuisines, veganizing them. So you have your appetizer, your main dish, your dessert and your refreshing refillable natural drink. Come and fall in love with the food!

Opens: Tuesday to Saturday, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Numen; Located on 1H Street No. 138 between 8 and 10, México Norte.

Small size restaurant, very simple, I like the pillows on the back of the place, they make you feel comfy and there is also an unusual homey vibe atmosphere. Yesterday I ordered pizza from this place and today I brought to work the leftovers for lunch, it was pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! I must say this one isn’t even my favorite, I really love the petite buffalo burger with a side salad, and let me say that I usually order fries before salads at restaurants because they end up serving you something all dry and not yummy at all, but here I lololove the salad that they offer accompanying their meals. And for dessert they have tons of options but I highly recommend the beautiful beet ice cream, that’s just incredible! If you like beets take my word and try it out!

Opens: Monday to Saturday, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

All the different establishments I wrote about serve all vegan foods, for people who love to eat, so if you are a vegan I hope this serves you as an introduction for you to decide to discover them for yourself and if you are not a vegan I hope exactly the same thing.

This is extra information, but a thing that’s great about this kind of places is that they tend to put an effort to reduce the amount of garbage that they produce, like changing to biodegradable containers for the takeout meals, being on the not straws movement, among other actions. And this is good because it is important to look after what we love, and the things we appreciate about life, like sunsets, the oceans, people we care about and other living beings, you can write your own list.
